Last night we managed to find some time to enjoy a short "Doraemon" video together (before Onyee and Chu Yan rang the door bell). It was pretty fun watching the cartoon we were once so crazy about when we were kids. Too bad the so-called "original voice" as printed on the VCD cover is false advertisement. Only Doraemon's voice is original! The other voices are just so unnatually kiddy an dumb. Listen! Voices for cartoon must still be professionally done! :) If you lived through the hey days of TVB cartoons you will know what I mean. Those dubbing crew were so good! Nonetheless, I had a good rest last night. Praise the Lord!

Just now my company had a 9/11 tribute meeting. It was quite good and patriotic. As horrific as the scenes were 5 years ago, I have forgotten some already (or I might not have watched those close-ups, like when the second plane crashed right on the tower). We had sharings from many employees, but after all, I can only remember the last sharing from our company main line receptionist, a very dignified old lady, paraphrased here: "I am not the oldest employee here, but I have seen the days of WWII and Pearl Harbor, the war in Korea, and many others. Those were difficult days. There were politics back then. There were divisions in opinions. But America was united and will continue to be so. September 11 is no exception." What words of wisdom from gray hair. Her calmness was such a contrast to the cryings, tears, complaints from the younger folks shared before her who have never been through the assassination of Kennedy.

Our CEO shared that he was on floor 65 of the WTC Tower, meeting with the CEO of an investing company two weeks before the crash. That investing company CEO died due to 9/11. Who can know one's future but God? If He wants to summon you home right now, what can you do to resist?

Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit." Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away." 嗐！你們有話說：「今天明天我們要往某城裡去，在那裡住一年，作買賣得利。」其實明天如何，你們還不知道。你們的生命是什麼呢？你們原來是一片雲霧，出現少時就不見了。 (James 雅各書 4:13-14)

My friend, if by any chance you see this post and you don't know Christ yet, you are not saved and are on the road to peril. The Bible says it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment. 按著定命，人人都有一死，死後且有審判。(Hebrews 希伯來書 9:27) If you want to avoid the future wrath from God on all the sinners against Him, do this: "Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. 當趁耶和華可尋找的時候尋找他，相近的時候求告他。" (Isaiah 以賽亞書 55:6) He is not far away. Salvation is not far away.

Let the wicked forsake his way And the unrighteous man his thoughts; And let him return to the LORD, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon. 惡人當離棄自己的道路；不義的人當除掉自己的意念。歸向耶和華，耶和華就必憐恤他；當歸向我們的神，因為神必廣行赦免。(Isaiah 以賽亞書55:7)

Yesterday Caleb turned 3 months old. His weight is somewhere above 10 lb, so still a small boy comparing to Jessica at church (4 months) and the other contemporaries of my CUHK classmates. Yet his legs are pretty strong and he likes to kick (thanks to Onyee's toy, he likes the ball very much). Probably something to do with his birth in the World Cup season? :)

We managed to take some pictures together. We should have walked outside with Caleb to see the moon. The moon was exceptionally round last night, even though Mid-Autumn is 10/6.

On Saturday I thought of my friend Alex in Shanghai, and his wife who is expecting. Prayed for them and then sent an email to him asking whether his baby has arrived yet. In 8 hours he replied that his son was just born an hour ago! (how could he do that so quick? Hospital has internet??) Good timing. I am really happy for him. The name of the baby is 陳若天. Is it by any chance related to Alex's favorite, Andy Lau's movie, "A Moment of Romance" 天若有情... :)

We are having a lot of CUHK classmates giving birth to baby this year: Tung Wai Yip, Lisa/Caesar, myself, Jenny, Evan, Eva, and now Alex. Someday when we have reunion, it would be fun with kids so close in age.

Finally got a Xanga (mainly for the reason of posting comments :) I like the speed comparing the MSN spaces. It seems to have more features plus online storage. But for now I will stay put because of MSN's integration with Messenger. I have more friends here.
