This quarter for my Sunday School class I am teaching three related books in the Bible: Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. I love studying them. You can always find God speaking to you. There are just so much to learn from them!

I love reading the spiritual characters of Ezra ("For Ezra had set his heart to study the law of the LORD and to practice it, and to teach His statutes and ordinances in Israel." Ezra 7:10).

I can always learn the trust in the Lord and leadership skills of Nehemiah ("I told them how the hand of my God had been favorable to me and also about the king's words which he had spoken to me. Then they said, 'Let us arise and build.' So they put their hands to the good work." Nehemiah 2:18)

And of course, the courage of QueenEsther ("If I perish, I perish" Esther 4:16c).

The Lord has granted Daisy and I many opportunities to sing in public in December. On 12/2 I sang the special music This is the Day during the wedding of Lixia and David. Then the next day during the Sunday Worship I attempted O Holy Night for the Special Music. On 12/10 Wendy invited Daisy to sing Mary Did You Know together with her for the Special Music. That was Daisy's first time since almost a year ago (due to Caleb). This morning (12/17) we sang another Christmas duet That Beautiful Name for the special music. Next Sunday we will sing in the Christmas Choir The Angels' Celebration, a medley song from the Glorious Joy! Musical. I think that should be it for December!

Oh well, the wedding of Amy and Red is coming up quickly... better get ready...

I learned something new when listening to Daisy teaching Caleb: "If the thumb and the index finger of a hand can form a 'L' letter, it is the left hand, otherwise it is a right hand." Wow! I always have a hard time telling left and right, even as an adult. That would have helped had I known this trick... :)
